A design frame may include fields in which textual information about the project can be entered — for example, general information about designs, the customer name, deadlines, production-related information. Normally, but not necessarily, text is inserted in predefined tables.
In a print presentation, you access the predefined text fields directly from the Design Frame tab in the tabular area. When you enter text there, the text in the design frame is updated automatically (pictured). Learn how to create text fields in design frames.

To enter text fields in design frames
The Text Properties dialog box appears.
The text field | Use it to modify the selected text. You can include also predefined system formulas here. |
---|---|
Alignment | Sets the vertical alignment: bottom, center or top. |
Font | Opens a dialog box in which you edit the font's name, style, size, color and effects, and the character script. |
Angle | Defines the angle at which the text is to rotate. The angle is measured against the x-axis, in the current metric units. |
Description | Type the description of the text here. If the actual text is editable — that is, the Read-only check box is empty — in the print drawing the description will appear as a tooltip when you rest the pointer over the respective text field in the Design Frame tab in the tabular area. The description appears also in the table's Type column. |
Read only | Selecting this check box fixes the text. Fixed text cannot
be edited when the design frame is used in a print drawing
and does not appear in the Design Frame tab in a print
drawing's tabular area. If you leave this check box empty,
the text will be editable when the design frame is used in
a print drawing and will appear in the Design Frame
tab in the tabular area of print drawings. The text that you
initially enter will appear in the Data column of the
Design Frame tab and is enclosed by angular brackets.
![]() NOTE: When editing existing text in a design frame, you can use the R button on the contextual edit bar. Using it has the same effect as using the Read-Only check box. |
