Switching to Package Designer to edit Illustrator-opened structural designs

The integration lets you edit Prinect structural designs that you have opened in Illustrator.

IMPORTANT: If while working on an artwork in Illustrator, you open the file in Prinect and make changes to the artwork, these changes will not stay on the file when it returns to Illustrator.

To edit a structural design

1. In an AI drawing, ensure that you have opened any one of the Prinect panels.
2. In the upper right corner of any panel of the integration, click the context menu , and then click Edit in Package Designer.

A message appears.

Prinect starts, hiding Illustrator. The project drawing on which you have been working in Illustrator appears.

IMPORTANT: Although Prinect hides this dialog box, make sure you do not close it incidentally. Closing the dialog box will close also the project drawing in Prinect.

3. In Prinect, edit the drawing or drawings that you need, and then close them. You will be prompted to save the changes you've made.

Prinect closes, and you can continue your work on the graphical design in Illustrator.
