Adding overall measurement lines

You can add measurement lines to all three dimensions of a 3D model.

To add overall dimensions to a 3D model

1. In the tabular area, select the step or phase to which you want to add overall dimensions.
2. On the 3D toolbar, click 3D Overall Dimensions .

Three dimension lines appear linking the outermost points of the current state of the 3D model in the three directions. In the tabular area, the three actions that relate to the dimensions appear at the end of the step.

Notes

• After you have added overall dimensions and begin playing back the model's folding sequence, the dimensions move together with the movement of the panels, constantly updating their measurement values according to the changing state of the 3D model.
• If you choose to add overall dimensions to an entire phase, the dimensions actions are listed at the end of the last step in the phase.
• Overall dimensions appear automatically in all the steps to the end of the folding sequence. If you do not want the dimensions in any step, in the tabular area, click the step, and then ensure that 3D Overall Dimensions is not pressed in.
