Selecting dimensions

If there are multiple dimensions determined by a particular parameter, you can select them with a single click in the tabular area. This selects only the dimensions that are directly dependent on the parameter, leaving all others unselected. You can then work only with the selected ones.

To select dependent dimensions

1. In the tabular area, go to the Parameters tab.
2. Select the parameter that determines the dimensions that you want to select.
3. Consider your situation:

• To select the dimensions directly dependent on the parameter, right-click, point to Select dimensions, and then click Select dependent only on the context menu.
• To select all dimensions linked to the parameter, right-click, point to Select dimensions, and then click All dependent on the context menu.

• NOTE: This case concerns the parameters whose values are the result of formulas in which the parameter takes part.

In the graphical area, the dimensions are highlighted.

NOTE: To be able to see the highlighted dimensions, you need to have turned on the display of dimensions. To do so, in the graphical area, right-click anywhere, and then check Show Dimensions on the context menu.
