Free-hand drawing of a contour

When you use free-hand drawing to draw a contour, the drawn shape is broken down to a series of connected lines. These are treated as normal lines. For details about how to manage regular lines, see Drawing lines and axes.

To use free hand for drawing a contour

  1. Do any of the following:
  1. Click where you want the starting point of the curve to be, and then begin drawing.
  2. When you have drawn the shape that you want, release the mouse button.
  3. In the graphical area, click anywhere to position the series of connected lines.
  4. To cancel the mode, press ESC.
