Renaming, deleting artworks

You can rename and delete artworks. Normally, Illustrator gives artworks default names, which you can then rename with ones that have meaning for your work.

You can also delete artworks you will no longer be working with. Before deleting an artwork, make sure that it is not applied in any article. Deleting an engaged artwork may result in unexpected results in articles.

To rename/delete an artwork

1. In the Design Articles panel, click Front / Rear of the article.
2. In the drop-down list that appears, click Edit.

The Edit Artworks dialog box appears.

3. To rename the artwork, select it, click Rename, and then type the new name.
4. To delete the artwork, select it, and then click Delete. In the confirmation prompt that appears, click Yes.
