Exporting artboards as PDF files

You can export edited artboards to be reviewed by users who do not have Illustrator. You can export each artboard as a PDF file.

To export artboards as PDF

  1. In Illustrator, оn the Tools tab, click EngView Export Tools .

NOTE: To view the tools tab, on the Window menu, point to Tools, and then click Default.

As you click the button, a submenu appears with three options.

  1. Click Export all artboards as PDFs.

A Browse for folder dialog box appears.

  1. In the file structure, browse to the folder where you want the artworks exported, and then click OK.

The program exports all artboards in the document window as separate 2D PDFs to the directory you have chosen. The artboards are exported with all the artwork applied to them and without scaling.

Scaling images

By using the image-scaling tool, you can scale an image that is about to be applied to a drawing to fit the pre-scaled-down artboard drawings. The situation arises when you are working on a structure whose artboards have been scaled down to fit the document window size and you then begin applying an image to any of them.

To scale an image
