Editing EngView design parameters in Illustrator

In Illustrator, you can edit parameters only in EngView parametric designs. You can edit only the expressions of parameters. The editing takes place in the EngView Parameters panel. You can edit both global and local parameters.

To edit parameters

1. In the EngView Parameters panel, browse to the parameter — global or local — that you need.

2. In the Expression column, click, and then edit the parameter's expression.

NOTE: In the expressions of parameters you can use mathematical functions.

3. After you have edited the parameters that you want, in the lower right corner of the panel, click the Recalc button . This updates the structural design in the artboard and the 3D model according to the parameter changes you have made.

NOTE: The Recalc button is unavailable if no parameters have been edited.
