Repositioning layout 1ups
NOTE: The following procedure applies for unconverted layout 1ups.
- Select the layout 1up.
- Do any of the following:
- Drag the part to where you want it to be.
- In the contextual edit bar, in Dx and Dy enter distances relative to the layout 1up's original location.
- Click to place the layout 1up.
Notes
- If another object is attached to the layout 1up's control point (for example, when you draw additional objects directly in the layout), the layout 1up is repositioned and the connected objects are modified, depending on the direction and distance at which you drag the part.
- If two or more identical layout 1ups overlap, when you select them, the most recently placed one is selected.
- During repositioning a layout 1up, when in Dx and Dy you enter a value, and then move to the next edit box (for example, by pressing TAB or ENTER), the 1up's preview is restricted according to the specified value. Consider the following example:
If in Dx you enter a value of 40 mm and then press TAB to move to Dy, when you point to define the new location of the layout 1up, the mouse pointer's movement will be restricted by the imaginary vertical borderline stretching at 40 mm rightward from the layout 1up's original x-axis coordinate value. To drag the layout 1up's preview freely again, go back to (Dx or Dy), enter 0.00, and then press TAB or ENTER to move to the next edit box.
