Orientation alignment
By using orientation alignment, in the CAM drawing
you can:
- Manually orient the design in relation to the
coordinate system of the samplemaking machine.
- Rotate the design.
To use orientation alignment
- Do any of the following:
- On , click Orientation Alignment
.
- On the Tools
menu, point to CAM, and then click
Orientation Alignment.
- To define the anchor point for the offset,
click a point of the design.
A contextual edit bar appears above the graphical
area, containing options for the definition of the absolute offset angle.
At the moment of the click, the Rotation
Angle field appears.
- To define the offset angle between the two
points, do any of the following:
Notes
- When you drag the drawing close to a coordinate
axis, it gets snapped to the axis. When you drag a start or an end
point close to a coordinate axis or to an object from the drawing,
the point is snapped there, too.
- You can drag manually the start and end points
— they are displayed as green
and
blue
dots, respectively.
By default, they are positioned at the origin of the coordinate system.
