Applying style association filters to imported file formats

You can apply a specific style association filter to a specific file format. As a result, each time EngView is importing an external file in a specified format, the set association filter will be applied automatically during the import process.


Association Filters

Filters A list with the style association filters available for applying to imported file formats. Here, you can define new filters, edit existing filters, and delete filters you no longer need.
  • Add: Starts the procedure for defining a filter. You can define two types of filters: HPGL and GDI.
  • Edit: Opens the list of style assciations for the selected filter depending on its type: HPGL or GDI.
  • Delete: Deletes the filter selected in the list.
Default Filters A list with the style association filters available for applying to imported file formats. Here, you can define new filters, edit existing filters, and delete filters you no longer need.
File format A list of the external file formats to which you can apply style association filters.
Filter In the drop-downs, select the filter to apply to the respective external file format.
Default import font The default font in which EngView will display text in imported files.

To apply a style association filter to a file format

  1. In the Default Filters list, select the file format to which you want to apply a style association filter.
  2. Click the respective Filter field, and then select a filter to apply to file format.

Now each time you import a file in this file format, the select filter will load automatically in the import process.
