Creating print drawings
This section guides you through the techniques of how to create print
drawings. You can create a print drawing:
- By directly inserting project
drawings into the drawing. This is suitable for one-time printings
that will generally not repeat. When using this technique, you can
choose between two approaches.
- By using a template.
A template sets the types of project drawings that will be on the
print drawing — 1ups, layouts, 3D models, counterplates, bridges drawings,
and others — and also sizes their positions. Also pre-defined are
project-related data-extracting
formulas, statistics about used
rules, accompanying text,
checklists, and other data
that you plan to use regularly. This technique is preferable if you
want to present your projects in a pre-designed layout and by extracting
specific data.
You can create as many print drawings to a project as you want.
