Creating steps
Steps can be created only in the tabular area and only as parts of phases.
To create a step
- Before creating a step, consider the following situations:
NOTE: In A. you insert the new step at the bottom of the series of steps that make up the phase. In B. you can choose where to position the new step — above or below the step you started from.
- To create a step from an existing phase. Right-click the name of an existing phase, and then click Insert step on the context menu.
- To create a step from an existing step. Right-click the name of an existing step, and then click Insert step above or Insert step above on the context menu.
- (Optional) In the Fold Time column, set a value for how long a fold should take.
Notes
- The fold time depends on the fold time set for viewing a 3D drawing. If the viewing options fold time and that in the Fold Time column is set to 2.00, increasing the value for the viewing options — for example, five times — increases five times the value set in the Fold Time column. If for a step we enter a fold time value of, for example, 2.5, the folding of the step will take place 2.5 times more slowly than those of other steps.
- When you create the first action to a step, its name is appended to the step's name in the following format: 'StepN: name of the action', where N is the current step number in order of appearance; in all other cases (no action or more than one action), steps are named Step1, Step2, and so on.
- To move a step across the folding sequence, select it, and then drag it.
