Measuring two objects

You can measure:

Measuring the distance between two objects or control points

  1. Do one of the following:
  1. Click the first objects — a control point, a line or an axis, or two parallel lines or axes, or an arc, a circle or a fillet and a second object (an arc, a circle, a fillet, a control point, a line or an axis).

A sample image  the measuring line appears that follows the movement of the mouse pointer.

  1. (Optional) To make the dimension line text appear always centered, ensure that Centered Text on the contextual edit bar is pressed in.
  2. (Optional) Move the mouse pointer around to view the variant types of measuring.
  3. To end the measuring, do one of the following:

Measuring offset distances between two objects or control points

  1. Do one of the following:
  1. Click consecutively the two objects — these can be two control points; two arcs, circles or fillets; or an arc, a circle, a fillet and a control point — to measure the distance between them.

A measuring line appears that follows the movement of the mouse pointer.

  1. (Optional) To make the dimension line text appear always centered, ensure that Centered Text on the contextual edit bar is pressed in.
  2. (Optional) Move the mouse pointer around to view the variant types of measuring.

The indicator changes depending on the dimension type.
