Editing selection parameters

1. In the tabular area, click the Parameters tab.
2. Click Select , and then consider the following cases:

• To move the parameter across the table, to delete it, to hide it or to show it, click the respective command on the context menu.
• To change the expression of the selection parameter directly in the Parameters tab, click in respective field of the Expression column, and then use the arrow in the list box to select a different selection type entry.
• To select different selection type, right-click, and then click Properties.

The Parameter Properties dialog box appears.

Name Defines the name of the parameter. NOTE: A parameter name cannot begin with a number.

Type Click the option for the parameter type that you want to create:

Selection Sets the parameter as an selection one.

The browsing button opens a dialog box in which you select values for selection parameters.

Description Notes about the parameter. When you attach the parameter to a drawing, this description will appear as tooltip when in the tabular area you point to the name of the parameter.

Scope Sets the parameter as local (valid only for the current drawing) or global (valid for the entire project).

Group A list with all currently available parameter groups in the project. Select the groups that you want the parameter to be (re)assigned to.

1. To select a new selection type, click the browse button .

The Select Value dialog box appears.

Selection types A list of the selection types in the parameter template.

Values A list of the values that the currently selected selection type may have.

2. In Selection type, select the selection type that you want.
3. In Values, select the value which you want the parameter to have.
4. Click OK.

3. (Optional) Back in the Parameter Properties dialog box, make the parameter global or local by clicking one of the options.
4. (Optional) In the Group area, assign the parameter to a parameter group by selecting the respective check box.

NOTE: You can assign a parameter to several groups: click their respective names.

5. Click OK to complete the procedure.
