Keyboard shortcut sets

A EngView installation comes with three sets of keyboard shortcuts:

• EVPDD.kbs A set of 98 shortcuts set for working with EngView . This is the default set.
• CAD_Standard_Shortcuts.kbs A set of 35 shortcuts assembled from the most popular CAD- and artwork design-related software — for example, AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator.
• Windows_Standard_Shortcuts.kbs A set of nine keyboard shortcuts most common for working with the Windows operating system.

EngView's keyboard shortcuts files have the KBS file name extension.

Context sensitivity

Context sensitivity applies each time you press CTRL+ENTER. That is, the program shows you only the commands that can be used in the current work situation (provided they are part of the currently loaded shortcuts pack). For example, if the current drawing is a 1up with objects drawn in it, pressing CTRL+ENTER will display only the list of commands that are relevant to the situation at hand — shortcuts for drawing objects. You will not, however, see shortcuts for transformations, because these commands become applicable only after some objects have been selected.

Shortcuts directory

The three keyboard shortcuts sets reside in the installation's Templates subfolder — C:/Program Files/EngView Systems/EngView Package Designer/Program/Settings/Templates.
