Concentric-to snapping

Concentric-to snapping is an object-focused mode with which you can detect a Concentric relation.

important: The Concentric-to snapping is rare. In most cases, the drawn object will not be snapped, because one or more of its control points have already been positioned and fixed (for example, in the Circle by Center mode).

Possible object modes where concentric-to snapping can be used:

Arcs and circles.

Possible reference objects:

Arcs, circles and fillets.

To use concentric-to snapping

  1. Turn on a mode for drawing arcs or circles, and start drawing the object by placing its first control point.

note: For the concentric-to snapping to be available in the modes Two Objects Tangent Circle, Arc by BEH or Arc by BEC, you first need to place the first two control points.

  1. Do one of the following:
  1. Point to the reference object. If snapping is possible, the object will be highlighted.

When the reference object is highlighted, the object you are currently drawing is snapped to it, making the two concentric.

  1. Click the highlighted reference object to confirm the current snapping solution — the object preview will stay snapped until you finish the object definition.
