Adding text to drawings

In drawings, you can insert normal (TrueType) text and vector text strings. You can decompose a text string to the letters it consists of, and then the letters, to their constructional lines and curves. Only vector text can be processed with a cutting rule. Conversions of text and letters are irreversible.

Notes

During repositioning of a text, when in the contextual edit bar you enter a value in one of the edit boxes, Dx or Dy, and then move to the next edit box, the scope of the text preview is limited according to the specified value. Consider the following example:

If while repositioning a text by dragging you enter a value of 40 mm for a relative Dx offset distance and then move to the next edit box, when you point to define the new location of the text the mouse pointer movement is limited by the imaginary vertical borderline stretching at 40 mm rightward from the original Ox coordinate value of the text. To drag the text preview freely again, in the respective edit box (Dx or Dy) enter 0.00, press TAB or ENTER to move to the next edit box.

The zero-value rule applies only to distance values.
